Apple iPhone XR sold 9 million units during the opening weekend, but still not meeting expectations

According to data obtained by Zhang Jun, an analyst at Rosenblatt Securities, Apple sold about 9 million iPhone XR devices during the phone’s opening weekend.

These are some excellent numbers, but not as much as the 10 million units predicted by analysts.

As a result, Zhang reduced his estimate of the new iPhone production in November and December from 90 million to 88 million.

Despite a slight lack of sales data (according to Zhang’s sources), analysts still expect Apple to have a record-breaking holiday season. He expects revenue to exceed $91 billion due to the higher average selling price of the new iPhone and the new iPad Pro and Macbook models that Apple will launch on October 30th.
